"Singing to a differen't tune......."
We spent a total of 10 1/2 hours on Pea Patch Island. It was an experience I'll never forget. Erick

SciFi Channel found the water of the moat and the thick stone very, very challenging. At one point, Josh Gates, told us that he was preparing to have to tell the viewers that this show wasn't happening. Josh did an amazing job of trying to keep calm. He was an amazing host, in which, I wish the viewers could have seen his flexibility.
We were extremely disappointed to not being part of the investigation inside but so few cameras working we were just happy to have the show at all.
We interviewed Linda ,Park Ranger, about the history and the unexplained things she has experienced while working on the island. She recounted a night staying in the officer's quarters, upon waking in the middle of the night to a rocking horse swaying. On another occasion, Linda also heard footsteps down the hall to which she called to her partner. She thought it was him but he was found several flights downstairs. Linda was a wealth of information and I promised to come back and we would investigate where the hospital and the old cemetary laid with her.

With time on our hands between shots, what would any history/paranormal geek do. Investigate the outer POW camp and fields. Nothing was really happening until after 12:30am. We were outside the POW hut when Erick saw a grey figure run across the field. I only heard the weeds moving because I was looking the other way (it figures, huh). We still need to go over the digital recorder but if we find anything we'll add it right away.
As we made our way back to "tv camp", where all the TV trucks, my talent trailer (okay, it wasn't all mine, I had to share), food tent were located. I heard someone approach me on my left side, running, and then I felt and heard the sound of feathers at my ear. It made me stumble. I don't know what it was but Erick only heard it and saw me almost fall. It was pretty dark on that side but we had a little light from the flood lights spilling over from the film crew at the enterance. Was it the same "thing" that we had visit over in the field? I was done. We quickly went back to the trailer to regroup.

We didn't bring any equipment other than our digital camera and digital recorders because we were told the other equipment would be there and we didn't need to bring our own. Sorry, for the missed opportunity to all the paranormal groups out there.
